  • How long have you been teaching online courses?

    13 years.

  • What do you want students to take away from your classes? What do you want them to learn?

    I want them to learn how to learn. To think critically about numbers, not just take them at face value. How to use numbers to manage the enterprise.

  • What is the value of an MBA?

    It raises the expectations of your performance, if you meet those expectations you will write your ticket anywhere. Don't meet those expectations and you wasted a whole bunch of money and time.

  • Why did you start teaching?

    Because I thought it a calling.

  • What advice would you give to those considering the online MBA program?

    Do it for the right reasons—to add tools to your toolbox. If you are coming back to school because you see a need, serve that need.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students may not know.

    I know how to hypnotize a chicken.
