Core requirements for the 45-credit hour General MBA include challenging coursework that covers a range of topics including Marketing Management and Strategies, Economic Analysis and Information Systems. Concentration in Accounting MBA
SOU's Accounting MBA offers the same 33 hours of core courses, with electives that include Accounting Information Systems, Financial Statement Analysis, and Business Valuation and Financial Statements. The same solid core foundation readies students to dive into electives that include Advanced MIS/Business Analytics, Building Decision-Making and Business Analysis Models Using Excel, and Using GIS in Business. All concentrations in SOU's online MBA comprise 13-courses or 45 credit hours, which include 33 hours of core courses and 12 hours of electives. Required for all MBA concentrations are a Graduate Research Project and Capstone course. In the Graduate Research Project, students will apply research methods and procedures to a real-world situation. The Capstone provides an experience that integrates the MBA coursework using intensive business cases and analysis.
